NJASTO (New Jersey Association of School Technology Officials) is a not-for-profit professional association that promotes the highest standards in educational technology, efficiency and cybersecurity in schools, provides its membership with access to resources, professional development and support, and collaborates with entities that impact public education.
Our membership continues to grow and currently consists of over 200 educational technology leaders from school districts and charter schools throughout New Jersey.

Membership is open to the Technology Leader of any New Jersey public school district. We define the Technology Leader as the person District Administration relies upon as their trusted advisor for Educational Technology recommendations, purchases, implementation, integration and support. Any requests to add additional representatives from the District would need to be approved by the leadership team.
Vendors are not permitted in our group, and as a group we do not explicitly promote any products or vendors. Members are welcome (and encouraged) to share experiences with products and vendors, but again, not to engage in promotion.
The group meets monthly, and while participation is encouraged, it is optional. Members gain access to an active online community where they can seek advice from their peers at any time.
We're proud to announce our first-ever Tech Leader of the Year Award, which will be presented at the June Summit. This award recognizes a technology leader making a meaningful impact in their district and across the New Jersey education community.
We're looking for nominees who exemplify:
Visionary leadership in educational technology
A commitment to equity and access
Strong operational and cybersecurity practices
Meaningful support for staff and students
Contributions to the broader EdTech community
Nominate a colleague, mentor, or peer whose work deserves to be recognized.
Nominations close end-of-day Monday, May 4, 2026
